I get almost 4% interest on my BR. I take it out via ATMs- my account has no daily limit and reimburses me for any fees incurred, and is redeposited as quickly as possible. My BR was only $3,000 but I got enough in interest to pay for a flight to Vegas out of the deal. Now that I'm upping it to $10,000, i'll get a trip and a half free each year.daniel27 said:Is a good idea to keep all the BR in chips?, I play a lot and the cash interchange is too much, any opinion?
That sounds like a nice setup. Is it a money market fund or a bank?shadroch said:I get almost 4% interest on my BR. I don't see any 4% rates on their web site. Highest rate I see are 3% up to 35K on their Rewards Plus Checking. Did they cut their rates or am I missing something?shadroch said:Internet account at http://www.malvernfederal.com
I don't recall, but certainly possible. I check it from time to time, but haven't lately. Most recent acct I opened was Amex Bank at 1.85% a few months ago.shadroch said:Their rates flucuate, as most do. It was closer to 5%, then they cut it twice that I know of. They could have cut it thrice. They also were offering $150 sign up bonuses when I joined. I don't see that right now either. Only $10 for your old checks.
For me, the ability to use any ATM and pay no fees is the big thing-especially in Vegas or any casino where multiple withdrawls can add up quickly.
Weren't you the one who directed me to the website that listed hi interest accounts in the first place last spring?
I hate using debits though, they're not nearly as secure as credit cards.shadroch said:Their idea of direct deposit is pretty loose. I transfer money from my Ridgewood account to them and it's a direct deposit. Between gas and grocery shopping, ten transactions a month is kids play.
