There are good books and BAD ones. Start with "Blackjack Blue Book II" by Fred Renzey. Use it as a reference book. I also like "Burning the Tables in Las Vegas". Play the sims on this site. Memorize the strategy charts! Don't go into a casino without knowing the Basic Stategy for the specific game you are playing. You will learn! I did. It sure gives you confidence when you know the right plays to make. The game becomes more enjoyable when you know you are making all the right decisions.

Best Books!

I think that is very important in the beginning to pick some book that is not very complicated.

There are so many books about BlackJack and as tribute said some are good and some are bad!

I would really recommend you : "The Smarter Bet Guide to Blackjack" by Basil Nestor. I can tell you that nobody wrote better book for beginners. It is simple easy to read and gives you ultimatelly best introduction to BlackJack. Card counting is described very briefly but enough to give you an idea about it. Actually book explains everything that you need to know about BJ, but book itself is not enough to make you pro.

In order to further enrich you knowledge about blackjack, you will have to read some other books. But DO NOT skip simple ones and jump right away to complicated ones because you won't gain anything from reading them if you do not have solid basic knowledge of BJ.

The books that will shape you as a BlackJack player ( the best ones and probably everybody will agree with me ) are:

-Blackjack Blue Book
-BlackJack Attack
-BlackJack for Blood
-Play Blackjack like Pros
-The World Greatest Blackjack Book
-The Theory of Blackjack
-Professional Blackjack
-Million Dollar Blackjack
-Playing Blackjack as a bussines

-Blackjack Autumn ( you have to read this book) . It describes very well what is it like to play as solo profesional Blackjack player.

Well this is my pick for you!

good luck!
