I recommend whichever seems the most natural for you. If you are only comfortable with level 1's stick with that. If you can do side counts use one with that. It's more of a personal thing as the counts will perform similarly.

^What he said, but also keep in mind Playing Efficiency is supposedly more important in single/DD games than betting correlation, whereas betting correlation outweighs playing efficiency in shoe games.

Would you guys recommend the uston advanced point count, advanced omega, or what? Thanks for any help
In DD my Hi-LO-LO is a devastating count system, simply shocking in its firepower and ripping, tearing... trauma it can inflict on the casino.:yikes:

Counting on fingers

Since it was brought up, does anyone else here use a method for counting to >10 on their fingers? When I was young, I was taught how to count to 99 on my fingers very easily, and it has stuck with me ever since. You count to 4 like normal, then 5 is the thumb only. 6-9 are the same as 1-4, but with the thumb up too. One hand is the units place, the other is the tens place. With practice, it is completely natural. In my experience, counting 1-99 on your fingers comes in handy much more frequently than 1-10, but counting 1-9 on one hand is also convenient at times.

nice! Counting in binary is pretty easy as well once you get the hang of it, 0-31 on one hand!

I have actually considered this, but I can't make my fingers move quite right for this. Some numbers are fairly easy, but some are pretty difficult for me. Going to 9 on one hand and 99 on both has been adequate for me.
