I'm still learning to count. I play $25 min table, DD pitch. I am not confident enough yet to increase my bets by whole units unless there is a huge pos count near the end of the deck. That is not often! And then I only increase up to $50 (one unit).
This is how I bet, I think it helps with loss limits and still allows me to win.
Start each new deck (session) with a flat $25 bet (one green unit). Neg count and plus one, I stay at min $25 bet. When the count increases, I increase (or ramp) my bets in $5 (red units) increments.
1st bet and low counts, $25.
Count +2, $30.
Count +3, $35.
Count +4, $40.
Count +5, $45.
Count +6 or higher $50.
Any constructive criticism? Am I correct to think that this will help limit losses and still allow for small wins? The main thing is that regardless of the color, I am still getting accustomed to increasing units.
I have a friend who plays with me on most trips. He does not count but knows BS and the adjustments to play. He knows I count and what my betting strategy is. He watches my bets and automatically knows what the count is. Anybody else do stuff like this?
