big or small difference in asm vs.hand shuffled

hello im going to a casino tomororw that has hand shuffling. I usually go to some that have ASM's. Is the difference noticable if your just playing BS or is there no difference?

I believe there is little difference unless you are a pro shuffle tracker. Now, if you said CSM instead of ASM, that's a different issue since an ASM only shuffles the decks at the end of a shoe, whereas a CSM shuffles before each hand, rendering a count all but useless.

Short answer: no real difference between HS and ASM, but huge difference between the aforementioned and a CSM.

Cp, I doubt most people have the skill to ST well enough to overcome the additional $ earned by playing more hands/hr with an ASM. This is of course assuming they can count which the OP has indicated does not apply.

Most hand shuffles take longer than an ASm, so if playing BS, you are better off playing with the hand shuffle. More time spent shuffling means less hands per hour. Fewer hands an hour a BS player plays, the better.

For the BS player- you should play, in perferiantial order
1) hand shuffled game
2) ASM game
3) CSM game
