BlackHawk CO

#1
Hey I'm new here to this FORUM but I have a friend who pointed me this way a few years ago.. I just never really consider to make an account but after reading through countless posts I see this online community is not only intelligent but nice.. Has anyone been up to BLACKHAWK CO on here? I have been Blackjacking for a long time mainly in Vegas Reno AC and mid missouri mississippi.. What is the general thought on this area? Does anyone have any favorite spots or advice? I have gone about 5 times and had very bad shoes very bad primarily at a place called the Lodge... I just wanted to know if anyone had any favorite spots or maybe some advice for the region?

Not many will travel to Colorado because of the tiny max bets, but perhaps some of the knowledgeable locals who post on here can help.

That is true. I just didn’t know if there was anyone out there that had some info for a local. I typically fly to Vegas once or maybe twice a month but I took a new job where I am now going to be limited with my Vegas trips. I have gone to Blackhawk a few times and done pretty well. They have a couple of things I would think are good for an advantage player. But I wanted to see what everyone else had to say that has been going up there. I caught some heat at a little place called Lady Luck but otherwise I have done pretty well. The buffalo blackjack seems to be alright. I think a couple places may be better than others. Idk. If anyone has any input let me know. The 5-100 betting cap hasnt really messed with me other than playing black chip I get watched like a hawk. So you are right with that being an issue. The only time I caught heat was playing green hchip and throwing blacks when favorable. They asked me why I was doing this. I just said because I was doing good and had extra money. They steered me to my own table and watched my play. I look very young. Now when I go into this particular establishment I don’t get I’ded so.... they know me... I can’t really push it because I don’t want to get booted. I did go to a place called golden gulch and this old dealer lady kept telling me I wasn’t going to influence the cards and hassled me until I quite with being a psycho rude B. Idk. I’m new to these casinos and just wanted to know if anyone would like to play or give a fellow soldier some advice. I don’t think it will be anywhere near as profitable as Vegas because I look very a certain way let’s say I stand out and I feel like I will wear my welcome out soon it’s obvious not a lot of people pull out at these places because every time I do well I get mildly backed off.

Hey Rob888, in my experience, L.L. is a decent place to play and Ive done well at J Z's. Central City is mostly 6:5 crap. Cripple Creek is another option for you in CO. Its seems from reading another post of yours that your experience at the Lodge is very reflective of my own experience playing there, as well as many others. Word of advice, be very very cautious of the Gilpin just the same, as the casinos are connected and the dealers rotate between both establishments, with same awful shoes that you've already tasted, in both places. I happened to survive both places and profited, however it wasnt fun to say least. Overall, Robb888, the thing you should remember about AP play in CO. is that due to the size of Blackhawk/ Central City, word travels very fast in those sticks among the pit crews, dealers, players. Comportment is key playing in CO. You have stated a few times that you stand out because you look a certain way and I don't know how to interpret that with out a faulty assumption although naturally, I'm curious! Be careful with the black chip play as you already know and yeah, try not to push it, save that for your Vegas trips! Your Golden Gates ( known for it's premiere poker room) experience sounds pretty unique, though. Lol what a weird situation to be in. They, no doubt, were analyzing your play. "It’s obvious not a lot of people pull out at these places because every time I do well I get mildly backed off"... I think you've summed it up there. I think you've noticed by now that most people in CO. don't even play solid B.S. Its crazy. If you would like to trade intel or whatever, please feel free to do so. It would be an honor and privilege to chat with another CO player.

It’s a unique place to play and by far one of my favorite blackjack destinations in the country. My advice when it comes to this town is to just keep your eyes open and think outside the box.

does anyone know if colorado ever installed any video blackjack machines since the virus that pay 3-2 and have a decent size bet spread the time i was there a couple had 3-35, and thats not wide enough. also it needs to let u earn comps. most in vegas dont and if they do give comps its 6-5
