Well, did the Trop let him play under the same conditions that helped him win millions last year? You know, that rebate thing that Frank Scoblete explained that made the difference. Didn't a Trop manager get fired for allowing such conditions? So what is the deal this time that allowed Don to win such massive amounts? What about that other $1 million winner?
The last time that it was publicized that he cleaned out the AC stores he was betting $100,000 per hand. If this was again his average bet then he won 25 units from the Trop. This is the same as if you went in there playing $10/hand and won $250. This can be done without any rebate. It's likely they lowered or eliminated the rebate. Also, I wonder how many times and how much money he has lost in these stores that is not being publicized. AC may be using him a shill....publicizing the wins and keeping quiet about the losses.

AC Guys, doubt no longer but confirm in person if you so desire. if you want to know more about DJ, just come to Borgata circa Sundays 4am and watch him in actions at the pit#1. You cannot miss him---just look for his companion who looks like a "Barbie":

Back in the "good old days" of Vegas, this went on all the time. I had even heard rumors that this was one of the methods used by casino owners to "skim" profits.
The New Jersey Casino Control Commission has recently been down-sized to almost nothing. Hmmm....

If they don't mind paying enormous taxes on the "skim," either that, or they have to manufacture huge offsets for Mr. Johnson's tax return. I don't think ownership wants to call attention to their skim, although there is some virtue in "hiding in plain sight."
