Huh? Are you sure you wouldn't like to reword this statement? Give ME two aces every hand & I'll OWN the place within 2 weeks; I don't care HOW bad the rules are.BJBlowHole said:Usually if you split aces, you only get one new card on each hand. The only place I've come across that lets you resplit aces is planet hollywood. I'm sure there are others, but I haven't come across them.BJBlowHole said:Sucker,
Maybe I wasn't clear.
It's a good rule if you're allowed to re-split aces. (Right?)
It's not a good rule if you're not allowed to re-split aces, because getting stuck with a twelve that you can't do anything about is not good.
We agree on that don't we?
HUH? All station casinos allow RSA on shoes as does MGM/Mirage casinos. Harrah's casinos and Boyd/Coast generally don't allow RSA. Nationally I'd say that about 40% of casinos allow Resplit-Aces and 60% don't. Most casinos don't allow it on pitch games..and RSA doesn't really help much on those anyway. It's a very customer friendly rule that doesn't really cost the casino much to the typical player but players really like it. That explains why Harrah's and Coast casinos usually don't offer it....they could care less about keeping their customers happy.aslan said:The only place I've come across that lets you resplit aces is planet hollywood. I generally have my fill of shoe games in AC, so when I am in Vegas I play almost exclusively Double Deck games where I have not yet seen Resplit Aces. The exception to playing only Double Deck is Planet Hollywood, where I have often stayed, and where recently their Double Deck games have gone to ugh! 50% pen. I find their surrender rule very appealing even if it means playing shoe games. But thanks, I never realized that Station and MGM casinos offered Resplit-Aces in their shoe games.bigplayer said:HUH? PS. I don't recall MGM in AC allowing RSA (do they?). But then again, they are partly owned by Boyd.bigplayer said:HUH? All station casinos allow RSA on shoes as does MGM/Mirage casinos. no, no rsa at borgaslan said:PS. I don't recall MGM in AC allowing RSA (do they?). But then again, they are partly owned by Boyd.
Why do they want to unload it? I don't disbelieve you; I'm just asking. It seems to be doing better than any casino in AC. They do have the property between Borgata and Harrah's where they plan to build an MGM. But I still don't see why they would want to unload Borgata. Very interesting.FLASH1296 said:Borg is hardly an MGM store, although MGM has a 50% financial interest in, that they have placed in escrow, in order to unload it.
Note: The "MGM at Foxwoods" has NO connection whatsoever with MGM.
Foxwoods simply purchased the use of the high-end name as a marketing tool.
You're not kidding., are you? I had no idea? I guess that puts the kabosh on the planned AC MGM as well. What surprises me most is that the NJ Casino Control Commission is not mob controlled or heavily influenced. People of character always takes one by surprise nowadays.FLASH1296 said:MGM's best profits are from Macau and soon from Singapore, etc.
The N J C C (N.J.Casino Control Commission) will not allow MGM to be involved in A.C. casino ownership because of their close ties to the Chinese Triads (organized crime) through their "Godfather" — Stanley Ho (and his daughter) Pansy Ho.
