MY suggestioin is Blackbelt in Blackjack by Arnold Snyder.

Presents several good easy beginner's counts, and includes the pro level ZEN Count

The 2005 edition can be had for $7

The traditional suggestion is Professional Blackjack by Stanford Wong. Ignore the the misleading title.

Presents the simple basic Hi-Lo Count, and includes the difficult pro level Halves Count

The 1994 edition can be had for $5:

I'll second the Blackbelt in Blackjack suggestion. Blackjack Blueprint by Rick Blaine is another great starting point. Beat The Dealer is great to have in your library for it's historic value.

NO, The book is very very "dated" and does not apply very well to modern casino conditions.

Beat the Dealer's original 1962 edition is an extremely poor choice.
The 1966 edition, at least presented Harvey Dubner's Hi-Lo to the public at large.

Don't overlook the Blackjack School link on the left and all the sticky threads on the forum homepage.

There is a lot of info online

which should be enough for a start... Once you finalized your count, then probably need to look into books for indices...

My first book recommendation is Knockout Blackjack by Fuchs and Vancura. It is very well written and tells you everything you need to know to get started.

Clarification: The sticky threads are found at the beginning of several sections within the forum. In particular, you'll want to study the sticky threads under Card Counting.

What about the Brh Systems Book ??

I can sell you my Brh Systems Book for $30 via paypal, it has my three systems,

The beginner count is Brh-0, the power count is brh-I for shoe games, outperforming anything else at level 2.5 (ie 5=+3), and there is Brh-2, the best true counted unbalanced system for shoe games.

It comes with fully optimized betting spreads for all games (via email), main text by regular post.

email me at [email protected].

Cheers,
Brett.

now is it good for begginers?

Blackjack Bluebook II by Fred Renzey. KISS III count FTW!!

Unbalanced count systems are a good starting place to keep things easy yet still powerful. The unbalanced systems generate about 95% of the gains of their level 1 true count counterparts. Vancura and Fuch's Knockout Blackjack is a great book, too. The KO count taught in it keeps things simple and can be upgraded later on to the true count version TKO from the book 'The Color of Blackjack' or 'The Definitive Blackjack Course' DVD.

Norm's free ebook 'Modern Blackjack' is also great and shows the KO count which he calls reKO (ridiculously easy KO). Google it.

Greetings dear Dr. Brett Harris. I want to thank you for your great work, I have read part of it, but I would like to know if you manage to publish it in a publisher so I can purchase it in full or if you are still distributing it by email.
