I've read both. Found them at a very surprising place- that AC bookstore on the corner of MLK Blvd. Right before you get to the drug paraphernalia and hank books there's a section of gaming books. A lot of garbage books are mixed in with them, but I did find Griffin's two books and some Dustin D. Marks cheating books too.

Books & Counts

Don't most bj books focus on 1 count? If so perhaps we should mention the count with the book and why the book has value beyond a counting strategy?

Professional bj focuses on Hi lo and halves, complete systems

Blackjack Attack focuses on many things other then a specific count, so has value for any count used

I will only add ( as you're in Oklahoma ) is STAY AWAY from CSMs & ante BJ, but you probably know that.

No doubt I'm making a list and charting all the casino's in OK that have any type of cards and calling them all to find out monthly promotions and get added to the mailing list. Then systematically off we go using the Blaine method loose half and come home and evaluate. Looking for any other AP gems along the way. Still a little bit out but devious plans are laid lol! Thanks everyone for all the great info and man it would be awesome if someone( not it) put all the books in order to state what system is in them and more importantly what little tidbits that you pull out of each one like avenger said. I've found my system but every book I've read has opened my eyes a little wider. now i'm looking to complete the reference library and go for some of the out there titles and approaches. Also has anyone read Norm's Modern BJ II I know it deals a little with TKO which is my primary interest at the moment. Thanks again!

I own the two volume Modern Blackjack, by Norm Wattenberger (QFIT), and
I found it to be a valuable addition to my expansive BJ library. Expansive as it expands
to conform to the entire body of English language books on Blackjack; and that
includes virtually worthless recent books e.g. Hollywood Blackjack and Repeat Until Rich

The value of Modern Blackjack is that there are many interesting graphs.
Sadly many of them are all but unreadable, and one has to follow along by viewing
the graphs, tables, chart online simultaneous with the reading. The print quality
is below par. The substance is meaningful for advanced players who obsessively
split hairs, such as myself.

The problem with the book is that so much of the book functions as a composite
advertisement for the author's praiseworthy (nonpareil) software. If you do not own
the QFIT software you may feel "out of the loop" reading this.
 
I'd recommend Quick Guide To Winning Blackjack by Avery Cardoza to a newbie who only wishes to learn Basic Strategy and has no interest in card counting.:joker:
