Booted From the Table

Saw this from Howard Herbert in the latest Blackjack Insider Newsletter:

And then the piece de resistance. I normally spead 1-6 or 1-8 on blackjack at the table. Although it is not much of an advantage, I play with other players as it helps me hide. I am playing at one of the prestigious sites. I do ok and then a suit arrives. And then another. And then another. A convention. "Sir, step away from the table" When I finish playing, he says: "Do not accept any more bets from this customer." Cops arrive. I have no choice. "We are not accepting any more bets from you for 24 hours and please do not come back." Yes, counting is legal in AC but if they do not accept your bets how can you count?

Has anyone else experienced this?

As noted in the article, he was in AC. Anybody else have this happen?

good luck

I was looking at BJinsider AC report to see if there were more details, but the only report I saw by Howard he was talking of playing craps at foxwoods. Maybe I'm looking at the wrong issue. Anyway, as someone who plays a thousand hours a year in AC, I find it hard to believe. First of all, the fact that NJ casinos cannot ban advantage players is a well known fact, even publicized on the New jersey Casino Control commision website. So I doubt any of the corporate casinos in AC would risk lawsuit by doing so. And they cannot call the police if you are not breaking the law either. Perhaps there is more to Howards story. Maybe he was drunk ect in which case they can eject him from the casino and call the police.

As I stated earlier I play quite a bit in AC and have only seen them limit a bet spread (1-3) once and flat bet someone twice in my 4 years of playing.
