Borg going H17?

Even if they go to H17, the crowd that goes to Borg won't mind at all. People play 8D 25$,50$ games when we get better games elsewhere even in AC.

It's possible that the DE and PA casinos with their desirable rules could make the AC rules worse. Borgata is always crowded so just shoo the players who know S17 is better H17 over to Parx and Chester and leave the seats at the Borgata available for the bigger suckers. With the kind of crowd that frequents these stores on the weekends they will probably play anything you deal.

Correct, was just there and that pit was all H17. When asked about it, Friday was the first day they implemented it. The other 3 pits are still S17. They also have the "In Between" bet which just slows the game to a crawl.toastcmu said:Just looking thru the VP emails I get and a user reports that the pit by Seablue was getting felt stating H17. Well, it opens the door for the next casino that wants to take the "crown" abdicated by the Borgata. Maybe the propoerty owned by MGM between Borgata and Harrah's will be bought and developed by the new AC monarch, whose first order of business will be to declare the Borgata a relic of the past. I hate to say it: Boyd has no class (at least, not by comparison to its former partner, MGM). Steve Wynn, where are you?

Don't forget that Steve Wynn revolutionized the strip with his casinos, The Bellagio, the Mirage and all those others in the Mirage Resorts group, long before he created the Wynn and Encore. Never been to the Encore, so I can't comment on the decor, but I am sure it is appealing to the ugly, tacky wealthy who patronize it-- You have to giv'em what they want. Wynn is an outsider in AC, just as Trump is an outsider in Vegas. I'm sure Wynn would like nothing more than to enter the scene in AC with the premiere casino and hotel that makes the Borgata seem ugly and tacky by comparison. The story goes that he originally owned the land on which the Borgata was built, which he purchased for $1, swamp land that it was.21forme said:

Still a fine place, comfortable, friendly, laid-back for your card counting pleasure-- be tasteful and use a little camo if you will. Still has the best clientele and the friendliest pit anywhere. But, oh, did I wait in that long line for a paper thin Nationals baseball jacket that they will send me UPS in two weeks? San Boyd, I want to talk with you. Does anyone know-- is he still alive?

I had to laugh when i read this, I got there around 12:15pm yeaterday and to my surprise there was NOBODY in line...and maybe 20 people in the signature room. Took me a whole 10 minutes to place my order and be on my merry way. Maybe I misheard the lady taking the order but i could have sworn she said 6 weeks, which I thought was a long time.

The line had grown considerably by 2:30 PM. Didn't all those water jugs on the way out arouse your curiosity? I was almost afraid to drink it. What was that all about? Did they think people might need an opportunity to "cool" down? Why? Because of the thin little jacket? Because it wasn't there to take home with you? Because of the lines? My wife asked an employee of the Borgata why there was such a crowd of people registering to stay at the Borgata Sunday night. She said that whenever the Borgata has a giveaway, such as the baseball jackets, they get a horde of people reserving rooms. I don't know why, but I found that quite surprising.
