BS and Red 7 Team play?

Hello again

One of my friends has also started playing Blackjack. He is not that good and would rather play nice and safe at the beginning. I've never been at a casino and the pace can there for frighten me a bit.

Would it be stupid if he sat before me and played BS while he slowed the game down and I got a little time to think while using the Red 7?

Would he lose more than I could win?

You can take as much time as needed by yourself, so you won't need a friend to slow it down. There is no timer for your play. Soon enough all the plays will be automatic.

You really should have them down automatic before going into a casino though.

My play is almost perfect because I've practiced a lot but my practice-dealer isn't as fast as a casino dealer so I could be surprised. But maybe it's just practice, practice and more practice.

Thanks a lot:)

A good method of practicing in the real deal is just stand behind a table at the casino and watch one of the faster dealers deal to the table. Follow the count and try to think of what you would do with each individual hand at the said true count. Doesn't cost you anything but gas money.

But to answer your question: you are basically cutting your spread in half since you're off the top will now be two units (assuming you're bankrolling him.) So you may want to run a sim, or double your spread to make up for his play. This is also assuming he plays perfect BS, takes insurance at right times, etc.

IMO you shouldn't be sitting down until only the fastest of dealers, if any, give you problems. Have your practice dealer speed up or use a computer program that can deal very fast. Everyone gets caught off guard every once in a while, but that should be the exception, not the rule....

Just my 2 cents....
