i was playing at harrahs and i saw this old women bring out the bs chart from her pocket...... nothing was said to her.... does this happen regularly and if so it is exceptable or will the pit say something?

I saw a player ask if she could refer to the BS chart in her pocket, and the dealer said a player could take it out and leave it on the table if they wanted to. I've always heard the prohibition was against "devices" not paper.

Once pit critter at a local casino told me it was OK to leave a card on the table as long as it's smaller than a playing card ... I guess so you can't hide cards under it. Another told me I had to keep it in my hand. Probably depends on the boss. People leave packs of cigarettes on the table so why not a card?ThunderWalk said:
I use my own version of a BS card and once a pit critter asked to see it, eyed it and me suspiciously then handed it back. Wonder if he had a clue.

Although if you wanted to be sneaky, you could print your chart in colour-- except use slightly different shades for blocks that change based on the count-- and then memorize at which TC each of those shades represents.

Many casinos sell BS cards in their gift shops, which would make it very surprising if they did not let you refer to it on their tables.
I wish I could remember which casino it was in Vegas, but I took a friend into the gift shop to get him a BS card and the only card they had was for a single deck game with no DAS, and at this time this casino only had 6D shoes with DAS, more than a few significant differences. So get the card for the game you are playing.

I used to print my own BS charts,as there were only about thirty plays I wasn't certain of.Pitbosses asked to see them several times but after examining them,they were returned.Except at Bufflo Bills in Primm where the pitboss told me only laminated color coded charts were permitted.I offered to keep it in my hand but was told to put it in my wallet and leave it.
Awhile later,with a different PB and different dealer,I tried again and got the same results. Its got a great roller-coaster,but lousy BJ.
