according to the slots manager where i used to work, a lot of machine payouts were paid by the slot manufacturer, such as the large $1m + jackpots, a casino near us had 2 of them hit, tons of free advertisement and they didnt pay out the prizes except the cash the winner wanted that night to keep playing which was reimbursed by IGT or WMS

Yeah I have also heard the jackpots are paid by the slot manufacturers.
And I'm sure it's all about slots, but I think it wouldn't be that hard to improve some rules and make the place better all around and flip it.

CCiball had a great idea; only 100 grand each and we are all co-owners of the hottest Blackjack new joint in the entire country; with the best rules*, free drinks, comps galore, no heat, card counters welcome, even Monkey in his drunk's disguise is welcome. Does a flophouse come with it or a real hotel? (*The reason there is no heat is because all games are 8-decks with 45% pen.) But still, ALL CARD COUNTERS WELCOME promos will pack em in, in droves; instead of what they are doing at the moment, staying away in droves. We better start hiring the bestest-looking ct waitresses, asap. And the name of the new joint... I suggest 'Ma's Joint'.
