Caesars is running a promo for the month of November where showing them a premium card from another casino will get a diamond card.

This is not an uncommon promo. Both HET properties and Trump properties run these promos several times a year. My Diamond privledges expired several years ago as I rarely play at HET properties in AC. I may take this oportunity to get my diamond status back just for the free shuttle between properties, so thanks for the tip.

I don't know if this is true anymore but it used to be that any Harrah's card member could catch the shuttle.
I believe it's platinum and up (or guest of the hotel) now. I could be wrong. I haven't kept very up to date with HET policies.

"Visit a Total Rewards® Center for complete details. Premium Card is defined as a Top Tier Card from designated casinos outside Harrah’s Entertainment, Inc. Restrictions may apply. Management reserves the right to change or cancel this promotion at any time without notice. "

above was copied from op's link. I wonder if a blackcard from Borgada qualifies this. If anyone tried, pls share your experience. thanks.

Yes Black label from Borgata qualifies as does chairman from Trump. Also Borgata is running similar promotion. Show them your premium card from another casino and be upgraded to black label. The Black Label upgrade also includes a $100 slot credit and immediate free room comp.

Thank you for that piece of information. I will try to get a Diamond Card out of this deal. Don't know if I will ever need it though since I haven't see a playable game in any Harrah’s shops.

Wonder if I can flash my top tier cards from the crappy midwest riverboat casinos and get an upgrade to diamond at Harrah's...

That is precisely why many of us that play regularly in AC (and vegas also) have allowed our diamond status to run out over the past few years.

The only good thing about getting a Diamond card is that you can go to the front of lines when they're busy and you get free rooms in Vegas. That's pretty much it.

I get free rooms in Vegas when I had gold card. MGM doesn't let you book two free room in two different hotels. So it it good to have Harrahs free room when you bring along a guest/family. The room sucks though comparing to MGM and Wynn.

The real question is, which casino in AC is it the easiest to reach their top tier status...
Borgata is by far the easiest, if you are not mid-shoed there. You don't have to wait till you have 100 points. If you have a steady record of play, you can talk to a host to get you a black label.

I have a gold card right now (thanks to my lack of play there) and haven't gotten any free room offers in Vegas recently. :( Discounted rates yes but free no.

Hmmm, I'll have to try that. I calculated for me to get the 1000 points, I would have to play BJ on average 4 times a month there. Lately I've been playing more and more poker as I've been averaging about $40-$50/hr doing that and to do that in BJ, I would need a far bigger bankroll then the one I require in poker. I wish there was a way to see if they have you labeled as a card counter or something because they have stopped giving me free rooms.

My mistake about staying 100 comp points. It should be 1000. My experience is that this shop doesn't stop offering promotions even though they label you as an AP. However, I also play VP. That's my weakness. I can win 1k from BJ in a half day work and then blow it on VP machine in a second.

It must be all the times then where I used the slot dollars with out giving any BJ action because I have gotten nothing except poker rate rooms from them. Kinda sucks because Harrah's requires you to pay $13 in taxes for the rooms vs the Borgata which is $5 but they'll allow you to pay for it in comps.
