Caesars tales of horror! Surveillance nightmare.

On 02/26/2011, I witnessed a remarkably violent event at Caesars.
Around 11:00 PM or so, I was walking past one of the blackjack pits (not the
no-midshoe entry).
The supervisor had a two page document in her hand.
The first page had a large face shot of a man wearing a white cap and glasses,
no facial hair. From the angle, it was taken from the ceiling.
The second page seemed like a grid of tables with names.
The first supervisor stared at the black & white photo for a few seconds,
and then turned the page and signed her name in one of the boxes.
She gave it to the other supervisor and he too stared at the photo for a few
seconds and then turned the page and signed his name. The document was placed
on the keyboard and the supervisors went about their duties after that.
The quality of the photo was extremely sharp, as if printed from a high definition printer.
Would Caesars circulate photos from one pit to the other? Probably not.
Caesars isn’t that big.
Most likely, the photo came from another casino. Maybe an affiliate Harrah’s?
Maybe even Borgata or Trump?

What you saw was what is known in the casino business as a "flier". ALL casinos in AC circulate fliers to all other casinos as WELL as to their sister properties. In Tunica, all properties circulate fliers to all other casinos. Ditto for ALL small venues. It's a rather well-known fact that if you get heat in ONE casino in a small town, such as Tunica, or Laughlin, or Wendover; you are foolish if you DON'T leave town immediately. Even in Las Vegas fliers get circulated, but because of the size of the town, fliers are usually reserved for the REALLY dangerous players and for cheaters.

These fliers usually stay on the podiums for about a month before they're filed away. UNLESS you're a REALLY notorious AP, whereas your photo permanently goes under the glass table tops of the podiums. (If you want to know what I look like, check out the photos under the glass in all the AC casinos. Try to guess which one of them is ME :grin: ).

The Skinny on this issue.

moo321 is correct.

The likelihood of being flyer'd when 86'd playing Black is close to 100%,
while the chances of that happening to a red-chip player is approx. zero.

If you are "trespassed", your flyer will be making the round in a hurry.

Green chip players ? Light Green may get bye, while chunky Green may not.

Yes; this is what I was referring to. A simple back-off probably goes no further than the casino in question.

If they fliered everyone who gets backed off in Vegas or AC in a week, it would be useless since they would have to look at every single picture against the video of every blackjack pit, and double check to verify it's a match to avoid backing off a ploppy. Facial recognition makes it easier, but surveillance still needs to verify they're actually counting before backing them off since it generates so many false positives. Adding pictures of every low profile counter would make it generate so many false positives that it would be useless. And they most certainly would ignore every flier sent from the El Cortez since they would send so many. Red chip and light green chip counters are just a cost of doing business. A black chipper will get backed off at most places, but may be ok at the casinos known to handle a lot of high rollers. A purple chipper is unwelcome in most places, but can scrape by with a hit and run approach at large casinos, especially during busy times. Anything higher should be done with a team approach.

You can be sure that the special fliers sent all over the world are for people like the Bellagio and Rio bandits and the MIT team.

Guess it depends how egregious you are. One trip, I got b/o'd at RR and had no problems at the other Stations.
