Double deck, they give you the cards upside down. Took a brief moment for me to learn a good way to count, but I figured it out for me. Especially since ppl get their cards flipped over for winning side bet or doubling down or splitting but then the next card on double down remains upside-down.

So, I did well there...and also did well at El Cortez (where I received my first back off of my life even though I was only up $280) but at California, you cannot double down after split...how bad does that hurt not being able to do so?

Huh, I wasn't aware they went to DD there and still have 3:2. CBJN has the house edge at 0.53, not great but playable if pen is good. Pretty much the same as the H17 shoe games all over Vegas.

(Compared to 0.40 for DAS)

Quoting BS starting edges never tells the story for the card counter. H17 is VERY costly, compared to S17, and NDAS is VERY costly compared to DAS.

Note to KC fan: the cards aren't dealt upside down; they're dealt FACE down! :)
