If you go to the home page, you can generate the correct basic strategy for any rules you can think of.

Soft 19 v 6 is correct for DD and SD, Soft 18 v 2 is right (for H17 games), 11 v A is correct (H17)

PS: This is what Shadroch speaks of - http://www.blackjackinfo.com/bjbse.php?numdecks=6+decks&soft17=h17&dbl=all&das=yes&surr=ns&peek=yes

With H17, no surrender...

Doubling soft 19 vs 6 and doubling 11 vs A is correct for 1 thru 8 decks.

Doubling A,7 vs 2 is correct for 2 thru 8 decks but not single-deck.

Even with S17 you can double 11 vs A in 1D & 2D games.

The big point to OP is that rules and number of decks make a difference on correct Basic Strategy so look them up somewhere lol.

Just be prepared to face the wrath of the sacred flow experts when you double your A,8 v 6 because that is the 1# rule of the sacred flow.

1. Never double a winning hand.

I couldn't resist.

I also omit it when I'm counting. Even though it's basic strategy, it's uncommon enough that it attracts attention.

I have hardly ever seen a floorperson who believes you should double A/8 vs. 6, with any rule set. Most basic strategy "win" charts from the gift shop don't show it (except in fine print). Yes, it often brings down the wrath of the other players -- but then you get to defend yourself in an open forum by exclaiming that you're supposed to double "all" those soft hands against a "bust" card.

The strategy engine here with a standard rule set only shows doubling A8 vs 6 with single deck. Am I confused???

It was actually 1357111317 who said that. 1231231241 is a totally different person.

What a streak of odd numbers! Of these 20 numbers in two names, there are only 4 even numbers. But there are 9 X 1s, 4 X 3s and 3 X 2s. This may be meaningful. I'm asking Jack,Jackson to run a sim on it. He will need to factor in the missing numbers: 6, 8, 9 and 0. (I should ask him, hey man, is 0 a number?) :cat:
