These plays were made at the new MGM casino that just opened in Detroit.
You can get away with almost anything without drawing heat. I have seen bets go from 50 to 1000 without heat. No problem here. In fact I was one of the first to sit at a $50 to $1000 and the dealer ask the pit how deep to cut the cards, pit replied cut them 1 !/2 decks (6 DECK) better for the players. That is why I really don,t worry about heat. I have been around the 3 Detroit casino since the opened and extracted about $60,000 from them in the last 5 1/2 years. There are enough stupid players around here to make them enough money so they either look at you as just plain dumb or just lucky. In all this time a have NEVER run into a AP player here.
Inplay,
What are the table limits and table rules like at MGM in Detroit? Do they have a high limit area?

Holecarding is illegal. You cant reach across the table, lift the hole card up so you can see it. That's cheating!
I have a midget on payroll and he goes under the table and drills a series of little holes in the area where the dealer peeks. Then with the use of a high tech lighted magnifer he reads the card and gives me signals by how many times I am kicked in the shins.

Also the use of X-Ray vision glasses work for certain types of cards.:)

By far though, my most effective method of playing blackjack was developed by the inventor of Mindplay after he was fired because his device did not catch on in Vegas. Angry at Alliance/Bally gaming and the casinos, he developed the Mindplay Casino Devistation Device, which requires you to be the one who cuts the shoe. Your body is implanted with a card reader in the finger tip of your second finger on your left hand and a decoder is implanted in your brain. Before cutting you rub that finger across the card for so called "luck" and then twice in the place where you place the cut card. Your brain then is given the exact position of every single card in the shoe. You not only know the dealers hole card in advance, you know exactly what you will get as a total every hand if you sit at first base. In this case, you have factual information to back you up if someone takes a dealer bust card!
So I know next hand I get a blackjack, I bet table max etc or I get 16 vs a dealer pat hand and I bet the minimum. Blackjack sure is an easy easy game.

Of course these things may be also considered cheating but would be much easier to get away with than doing what you suggested.

Extra effort for extra advantage.

They have high limit area min $100 t0 $2000 6 deck game. Outside the high limit area are $50 to $1000 min all are 6 deck game. One and half deck standard cut. Double any 2 cards, rs 4X. Double after split. No double after split on aces. Dealer stand soft 17. 3 to 2 blackjack. Also they have a side bet (PERFECT PAIRS). Also no heat whats so ever! No 2 deck games. They also have a slew of 8 deck, which I don't play.

The 8 deck is H17 75% pen. Not playable for counting purposes really. Across the river Windsor has 8deck S17 with about the same pen and resplitting of aces allowed.

Lastly casinos are the LAST authorities for concluding what is ethical. How many times have you seen someone gambling wrecklessly while intoxicated or worse heard horror stories of addicts turning to personal bankruptcies, thefts, suicides etc...
Bingo! I agree with this 100%.

If you use a mirror or a shiner to be able to see the dealers hole card than I do consider it cheating. If you clude with the dealer to have him flash cards yes I consider that cheating to. As a dealer I have seen people naturally hit hard 17 and hard 18 however they are very rare players and they where done by regulars who I know they are bad players "good for the house."
thats not what ihate said, nor is that what you said on that other forum, and on this forum i think, unless that was somebody else

I think the obvious response is to ensure you are not cluding with the dealer.
way to mock cardcounter with his awsome spelling of colluding.. cluding sounds like something an animal would do (dont ask)
