Cashing in chips

I made about $1500 on 2 separate occasions and at 2 different casinos. Each time someone was called . The first place (Diamond Jo's in dubuque) a lady came out and eyeballed me like she was trying to figure me out. The other (ho Chunk Wisconsin Dells) was a phone call telling whoever was on the other end about how much I was cashing in. The one in the dells I had cashed out for more before without any calls. Not sure what to make of it. Is this normal? I was not raising my bets by to much. Usually started at $25 then to 50 if the count was good and near the end I betting 100 and was winning hand after hand ever though the count was going down I have been at this for only 2 years. Now have a BR of 3k

Every place has a different tolerance level or procedure. As to level of cashing in and what chips they track. I don't worry about it too much unless you have something else that caused you to think they were concerned about your play. In Vegas, you can cash in thousands and no one will call at some casinos. Some will track the pink/$500 chips. Some sweatier joints that I play in my state will call in on any black chips over a single one. It's crazy but I don't worry about it. Some call in cash in over a certain amount..............like one house here calls the pit if you cash in over $2k.

Off subject, but you should be looking for the $10 tables or lower. That way you're now spreading to a 1 to a 10 spread with that $100 max bet, instead of spreading 1 to 4 which is a waste of your time and effort, unless you are playing against single-deck games.

Dam and here I thought I was being conservative. Had a guy next to who was putting out 3 and 4 hundred dollar bets. He blew through over $2k. Also all the $10 tables were full up

If you are not being facetious, Bosox gave you good advice. The volatility in this game is BRUTAL. With a $3k bankroll UNLESS it's replenishable, you should make sure you have essentially 100 betting units. I think that betting $100 is over betting your roll. Just my two cents. Maybe take a look at CVCX or at BJTF calculators that are free on that site to examine your bankroll to spread to units v your ROR.

No I was not being facetious . I was just pointing out my situation. The casino I was at only opens a third of their tables and you pretty much have to take what you can get. I was betting $100 when the TC was 4 to 6 winning hand after hand. I couldn't resist. By the way it was a 6 deck shoe. Dealer hits on s17 split 3 times and can double except for aces. no surrender. Insurance offered if dealers up card is an ace. Fair penetration

Keep working on it then! And good luck! You are experiencing what many casinos do to low rollers or folks with limited bankrolls. I'm glad you won.........this time. Fairly decent rules for sure BUT variance can still kill you. With the higher minimums, they are essentially "making" you bet over the optimum minimum. They KNOW what they are doing!!

I know 3k is not enough and 10k or more is the target. I seem to do better on the $25 tables. I have been playing at 2 different casinos. Managed to make actually over 3k in 3 about 4 hour sessions. Probably luck of the run but whatever I can do to get there. I was playing last weekend watching a guy throwing out huge bets and making wins but the big losses ate him up. I just sat there slowly plugging along waiting for a good tc and walked away with 1.8k

When the cage takes interest in you...you should pay attention.
Maybe they are just tracking purple, or at small casinos even black...but they are tracking...and now they are aware of YOU.
