Casino Verite BS errors?

I've been using the BS flash cards on Casino Verite, following the BS chart on this website. Here are 5 inconsistencies between the two. Am I missing something here or are these BS calculations off?

Rules: H17, DAS, Late Surrender
Note: I leave the TC at 0 so there won't be any strat variations.

88 versus Ten-
Chart says: Split
CV says: Surr, Split cost me 4%!

Hard 11 versus Ace-
Chart says: DD
CV says: Hit, DD cost me 2%

Hard 17 versus Ace-
Chart says: Surr
CV says: Stand, Surr cost me ~1%

88 versus Ace-
Chart says: Surr
CV says: Split, Surr cost me ~1%

A8 versus 6-
Chart says: DD
CV says: Stand, DD cost me ~1%

Playing decisions at true count = 0 are not necessarily the same as basic strategy.

If you're using a count, you're getting information with a reasonably good correlation to some playing decisions. A zero count tells you that the weighted average of the plus cards is the same as the weighted average of the minus cards, ignoring zero-weight cards in your count. This is more information than you have without a count, so it will sometimes tell you to do things at TC=0 that basic strategy would say are wrong.

One example is the A/7 vs. 2 in the Mentor count (H17): the index number is positive, yet basic strategy in this situation says to double down.

Also, on 88 vs. 10, you should surrender, since surrender takes precedence over splitting.

I would have to know which count you're using to explain the remainder of your examples.

True, but that can't be the explanation for all the situations described.
A more likely explanation would be rules settings that are slightly different. Number of decks is a good possible culprit.

Thought you might be right, but no I double checked and I have both set to 6 decks.

When I set the strategy to "no indexes" there isn't any conflict between the BS chart and CV. Very interesting, how such a subtle difference between true count=0 and basic strategy can greatly change the EV of things.
