Casinos 20 + ?

Me and my friends have an eternal debate about this question. Are there any casinos in the US that have an age limit below 21? Especially in california.

Yes there are. You just have to go to an Indian casino in California. I have been to one where the age is 18 it is called Marango(sp?).

What do mean by "indian casino" though? what's the diffrence. And why arent every casino 18 + if some are?

Indian casinos are casinos owned and run on Indian reservations. They have their own sets of laws and are not regulated by U.S. gaming laws. Casinos such as the ones in Las Vegas are not 18+ because there are gaming laws that don't allow for it. The Nevada Gaming Commission I believe is the people who enforce these laws and make sure the casinos are on the up and up. Anyways the reason for it is America is already in huge debt why add to it by allowing kids who don't have much self control as it is to go into a casino and have their money basically taken from them? Doesn't make much sense so they try and allow for personal maturity and growth at the age of 21.

But do those casino offer worse rules? And forth and furthmost, do they offer blackjack and texas hold'em poker?

The major difference is there are no watresses walking around handing you alcohol so you can be 18 in these casinos and still gamble.

Even some 18+ casinos still serve alcohol, they just card at the table and/or mark an x on your hand if you are under aged.

yes they all do.

Southern Cali has Casino Morongo in Cabazon, San Manuel in San Bernardino/Highland, Pechanga in Temecula *wouldnt play poker here they rake 5$, Even though this is the place Jerry Yang won his WSOP seat lol. Those are all within a hour of each other. Before I lived in Reno I lived within 30 min of all of these places.

Then you got a lot of san diego casinos. But never actually went to any of them.


And they serve beer and stuff BUT you have to pay like 4$ each. THey charge your a real price not just 1$ Tip.


The poker rooms are usually overpacked. And technically a indian casino can cheat if they want. They can remove aces from BJ games. Things like that. Although I dont think they do I still dont like to go to indian casinos. I had friends that worked at them and they told me some of the shady stuff they did there.

Oh ok thanks very much for the information. So now that I know that they are 18+ casinos, and they are playble, could somebody tip me of any casino near L.A where I can play a profitable game?

You mentioned some casinos in San Diego RenoRenagade, I know thats pretty close, but are there any closer? And those other you mentioned, where are those located?

Any tip on a good casino would be apprieciated :)

Some places will give you beer for free if you play at least a 25$ min.

It depends on the jurisdiction. In some places, they're considered a sovereign nation, and they can do whatever they want. In some places they're under a state gaming control board.

Yea thats what I knew.

One casino were my friend worked ( that I wont name ). This was a couple of years back like 3-4.

Removing Aces from a BJ deck was one of the ones I remembered. Also reducing payouts on video poker machines. Anything to ensure getting your money.

Lots of indian casinos have CSM's now though.

In all of my experiences I have yet to find a nice indian casino. Most employees are jerks and hate their jobs .

I have never played BJ at a indian casino , mostly out of fear. But I used to play poker all the time. I was sitting at a decent stake table. Waitress comes up and I order me a beer since Im getting ready to leave anyways. She comes back and have my 1$ ready and she is like that is 4.50$ . I look at her and say are you serious.

I ordered a beer from the other indian casinos again real price. I guess I need to sit at the 25$ min to get me a Free-1$ beer.

18 or 21? Some casinos in california are 18 while most casinos in Nevada are 21 the casinos in Nevada they want to serve you alcohol and will give it too you for "free." The casino realized that giving free alcohol to gamblers makes them lose more money. They bet big and play stupid while they are drunk sure there are few stories of drunk people winning big but it is few and far between and the casino usually wins. Benny Binion was the first person to think of serving free drinks to gamblers at his Binions Horseshoe in Las Vegas since than almost every casino serves free drinks in Nevada.

So how strictly do casinos enforce the under 21 age rule? The reason I ask is I was in Reno a few years ago at the Hilton, and there were at least two under 21 kids at my table, drinking alcohol no less. They were friends of my nephew so I know they were under 21. Very surprised the Hilton didn't ask for IDs. It was mid week, quiet night, $5 table, so not sure if that made any difference. Haven't seen this at casinos in Eastern US.
