Guess why it has been many years since I played downtown

Meaning, a $50.00 bet at the El Cortez or Plaza might get attention whereas a $50.00 bet at Mandalay Bay or MGM won't. Now, I was pretty green to CC but I about crapped my pants when the dealer at El Cortez yelled "chax pray" on a $40 or 50 bet. I decided to play downtown for the 1st time after hitting the strip hard on a few trips, I didn't get checks play yelled out on the strip unless I was spreading from $25.00 to $200.00, all double deck. And I'm not saying the checks play were yelled out every time I went $200.00 or more.
At it's simpliest, we should all know the difference between playing at the Sweaty Spaniard and at the MGM.
With experience you will pick up differences in the ways of things between different casinos that seem to handle equal amounts of money or differences between how different pits and shifts work.
You will know that in certain casinos you can spread $25-$300 in six deck but will have a hard time getting away with a spread of $25-$150 in DD.
You will know that in certain casinos on certain shifts there is much more heat than on other shifts.
You will know that in certain casinos pen will not only vary by dealer but by shift.
You will know that even though two casinos are owned by the same corporation, might be next door to each other and offer the exact same games, the situation in one of those casinos can be much better than in the other.
Every place is different, within every place every pit can be different and within every pit each table can be different.
