Just Went

Mikeber is right about the $5.00 limit. Its crazy!
I stayed with the single deck tables and made $15.00 for about an hour play.
I am not a counter so you probably could do better if you get more people to the table. In four casinos there was never a full table. (Even on the $5.00 tables)
NOTE to Mikeber - I went back to the Winstar casino and got my bank and pride back.

Yes, the $5 limit is definitely still in place. I was apparently confusing some correspondence on another matter.

I'll be in a Colorado casino for the first time next week, playing at Ute Mountain casino in a World Series of Blackjack qualifying tournament.

Good Luck Ken. I will be there on the 16th in BlackHawk at the Riveria using up some slot comps caused by my disappointment from the $5.00 limit.
You just mentioned something that maybe the answer to playing BJ in Colororado - Tournaments!
Wher can I get a list of tournaments going on in the BlackHawk area?

If there are Colorado tournaments other than the Ute Mtn event planned, I don't know about them. I would love to see tournaments take off in Colorado.

For information on events everywhere in the US and Canada, there's no better resource than the Blackjack Tournament Calendar at BlackjackTournaments.com.

You'll need a free username and password to access the calendar. There are generally close to 1000 events listed every month!
