conditions at Agua Caliente?

#2
It's been awhile since I played there but here is what I recently heard.

Both now have H17 (except DD in HL room), cut about 1 - 1 1/4 deck cut on 6 Deck and 60% pen on DD (some dealers cut deeper), $10 min on 6 deck and $25 on floor and $50 in HL on DD, never had much heat from pitties, many of the players are locals and keep the Dealers talking, comps are getting better and come in the mail monthly. If you want the best Host just IM me.

I used to play there and Spa (which I prefer) a lot but haven't in the last few months (life has gotten in the way of fun).

I was there in March and played at both The Spa and Agua Caliente.

The Spa has been turned upside down since I was there last. They used to have the pits on either side of the bar, in the middle of the casino. They've now moved them back-to-back, between the bar and the buffet. When I was there, they were being stingy about opening tables; i.e., they weren't opening tables. There was one 6D shoe table open, one DD table open and one BJ Switch table and that was on a Saturday morning. I didn't stay to see how it was going to look by Saturday night. I don't play BJ Switch, I don't like their DD game and the 6D table was full. They had just closed another 6D table right before I got there. AC had just laid off over 1000 employees, although the dealer told me that was mostly in the hotel and convention center operations.

I went to Agua Caliente. In contrast, it was nearly dead, with about 6 6D shoe tables open with only 2 or 3 players at each. I don't know what it is about AC - I can't win there to save my life in spite of what would seem to be a reasonable game, so I cut my losses early and moved on. I didn't check to see what their DD table was because I just assume it's like The Spa - by the time they burn 1/3 to 1/2 deck and place the cut card, the DD game is only dealing out maybe 1 deck.

Try Augustine Casino for DD

None of the above.

The best DD game in that area is at Augustine.
Same rules as MGM propertie's DD game, S17 with limit of $15 to $25 depending on how busy the casino is.

Just FYI, I went to both Spotlight 29 and Augustine today.

Augustine doesn't open their DD table until after 3:00 or 4:00. It is S17, DAS, No RSA, min $15. I was there in the morning so I don't know anything about pen.

Sadly, Spotlight 29 closed their DD table on May 17. They were apparently losing too much money. I know when I played there a couple months ago, I won a lot of $$, as did a lot of other people at the table.

Agua Caliente

How do you know they short the deck?
I've played there a session lasting about 24 hours (2 days) mostly in the high limit pits 6 decks & DD. they cut half on the DD so it's not worth it. 6 decks pen. was ok and count was skyrocketing shoe after shoe all night long. I was a counter noob at the time and wasn't aware of casino cheating. Lost pretty big there.

I went back a year after to their main floor just to kill some time on their $10 table thinking they possible couldn't cheat on a lower limit tables. However, Even there, I could barely see any ten/face cards on another sky rocketing high count shoe. I left the place quickly soon after that and never returned.
