Crown Casino Update

As of July 1, 2011 (The new financial year), Crown Casino has decided to implement CSMs across ALL its main gaming floor BJ games. Yes, that means the previous $25, $30, $50 and $100 shoe games are CSMs. However, shoe games remain in the premium gaming areas. The Monte Carlo room has introduced a new table limit, $75, on 2 tables, the first $75 table I have ever seen at Crown. I believe this replaces 2 $50 tables which had been there previously. I did venture into the Teak Room but didn't swing past the BJ tables, I just wanted some free drinks from the bar.

Thanks

Hey Koz,

Thanks for the update, I was looking at a couple of your posts before I joined...Actually one of the main reasons I joined and also due to a recommendation from Studiodekadent was to ask you about the card counting team that you were going to start a couple of months back, you wouldn't happen to need another Counter would you?

Thanks,

Rory

Yeah, that's definitely a possibility. I'm in the phase of training a new person at the moment, probably won't be hitting the floors for a while, however. I've been on a bit of a hiatus, concentrating on studies for now. But I do plan to hit it back up within the coming months. Perhaps we could e-mail each other just to get up to speed on skill level, etc. Write 10 posts so that you get PM privileges, then PM me!

Good!

That sounds more promising than I had hoped! And this is my 10th post so I’ll send you a pm now

Coming soon: Crown abolishes the $30 Premium Blackjack tables!

Crown just get worse and worse and worse. Their hotels are ridiculously overpriced too.

And this, ladies and gentlemen, is why I'd rather give my money to either the Wynn in Macau or the Aria and Bellagio in Las Vegas.

Crown will never learn its lesson until people stop playing there.

Even the 'Crown Blackjack'? Didn't they already have ASMs?

Costing someone a lot of money to rent an ASM and a CSM for the same table! Or do you think these spare ASMs might find their way into the Mahogany Room? That'd impress the international crowd!!!

Crown.

I checked out the Monte Carlo Room Today..Overall I was pretty happy but I went at a bad time...I noticed however that the Shoe had an LCD screen on the dealers side and a couple of buttons on the top...Does anyone know if that's one of the shoes that tells the dealers when they are at a disadvantage? And if so do you think it would be accurate than card counting if we had a spotter check the count on the LCD screen..then signal it to the player or something like that...Also I think Crown are getting more wary of Card counters Hence the CSM on the main floor on $30 tables+ I overheard a dealer say "Those two Vietnamese women are pretty new...Not sure about the rest of them though" As he was handing over to the new dealer...I'm not too sure if this was a one off or if they have made it the dealers business to Suss out Card counters...Just giving the heads up.

Peace,

Rory

P.S. Thanks again for the heads up on the shoe game in the Monte Carlo room

Rory, that is an Angel Eye shoe, used primarily on their baccarat games. It's there purely for the purposes of game integrity. A dealer friend of mine did inform me that it is theoretically possible for the pit to know the count when they use those shoes, as it tracks every card that has come into play; however, unless they actively seek that info, the pit won't know the count, nor is it displayed.

Koz1984 I live in Melbourne and am no stranger to Crown, do you have an email address that I can email you at?

I believe the runners of this site would become frustrated if I posted 9 further blank posts just to attain pm privileges.

In terms of BJ rules, the Monte Carlo Room (a publicly open VIP room) is superior to the Teak. So don't bother attempting to accrue the required points for a Gold card. It's a waste of time and money.
