Heading to Del mar in August to play the ponies at del mar. Where is the closest casino offering the best single deck and double deck blackjack games with low minimums and tolerate varying bets 1 to 5 units? Thanks for your help.

Every single deck in that area is 6:5. Pala has plenty of low limit 6:5. 1 to 5 spread isn't going to beat 6:5.

Double deck will cost you $25 at Pala and Harrah's. There is a dumpy place called Pauma (tent casino) that has low limit double deck, dealt from a shoe.

I think Harrah's has the best DD rules (doa, das, rsa, ls) but I don't know about penetration.

Pala would be the closest to the racetrack.

Harrah's (according to CBJN) allows surrender on DD. Pala does not. Barona is way down and out - Pala is on the 76, should be the closest to del mar. All of barona's blackjack games allow surrender.

Pala has one table of switch.

Barona has great Rules as well on their DD. LS, RSA,DOA,DAS. its 25min as well.

In so cal, the only place that stands on S17 at DD is agua cliente in their high limit room. Unless they changed that too (main floor is H17 now).

The best two are going to be Barona and Harrah's Rincon.

Rules are very close to the same but I personally like Rincon. Rincon is usually less crowded, brighter and less "peer" pressure from the table and pit.

Barona would be easier to get to from Del Mar (straighter shot) and a little closer. Rincon is close to other casinos (Valley View, Pauma, Pala) if you want to shop around some.

While you are at the track look around for the money I keep dropping there.
