Do you leave a counters' table immediately after they realize everyone is counter?

Once I played at a all counters' table. Every time the true count got to above +1, everyone raised their bets significantly. Especially an young Asian couple. They only played $10 table minimal and $200 (when TC is +1 or above). Everybody else also jumped to 10x betting. What would you do in such a situation? I also noted that the couple IS RATED and casino host is very fond of them and did not give them any heat for jumping between $10 and $200. (It is a DD game with table maximum $300).

Another question is if Asians are protected even they are counters? I saw the Asian couple won a lot at this casino. They are clearly counters and are still playing last time I saw them. I am curious so I ended up with them at the same table frequently. They use Basic Strategy (perfectly) most of the time and the only exceptions are that they stay at 15 and 16 when TC is very high. That means, they hit 14 even sometimes index play says otherwise.

Because asian gamblers like to bet $20 this hand and $3000 the next for no good reason.

So yeah, an asian spreading will be more tolerated then if you're white (especially if you fit the stereotype for a counter).

Should you leave immediately? Not on a good shoe, but when they're shuffling there's absolutely no reason to stick around any longer unless it's the only game in the casino or something (and if that's the case... you should find some place to play that's not a total shithole)

Responding to the actual thread though, I think that I would try my luck at the counters table. It seems like if they aren't kicking out the asians they probably won't boot you either. People would probably just think the table is "playing as a team" in the way that ploppies always talk about that phrase.

Or just show up with a bubble tea to the table and your probably set for a while, because they would know your asian at heart :laugh:

First off, maybe THOSE particular asians are friendly with the pit.

And having a table full of counters attracts more attention then 2 counters at the table.

I don't hole card games and have other pros play all the other spots for this reason. I'd love to keep ploppies off the table so they quit slowing down the game, but it brings on tons more heat onto the game.

I've been to two BJ bashes now, and there is always a funny "grand finale." Both times, all the attendees play at a table, taking all the spots. The biggest was 3 tables times 7 spots. people raised and lowered their bets in slight unison, and no one got any heat.

well, I got heat there 2 years ago when I was a 3 month newbie AP. I was a little too obvious with my wonging, and the dealer asked me "is the count not high enough to play yet?"

Also, the other day I was walking down the street and I saw a BJ player I regularly run into at my local joints. been playing with him for quite some time now, and I thought he was a better than average ploppy. I asked him if he had been over to X casino tonight and if it was crowded or not. then he suddenly starts using AP terms. "I don't play there anymore, they always cut 1/2 deck on DD." then I asked about their 65 SD. "You can't win at that game! It is mathematically impossible!!" So then I just came out with it, "Oh so you count cards?! I had no idea! Did you know that I'm counting?" he said no. we're using different systems, and we camo differently. Not to mention we both act naturally. Needless to say, it can be pretty hard to tell if someone is counting or not.

He bets $200 on TC +1, +2, +3, +4, +5 to infinity.

He bets $10 on TC +0.9, +0.5, 0 and negative.

He never bets the table maximal $300.

Sometimes in rare condition when table minimal is lowered to $5, the couple bet alternatively $5 and $100. It is clearly they want to spread 20 to 1. And I saw him carrying at least $5,000 in his wallet.

If your bankroll is in the mid-high 5 figures, it's the best ramp you can hope to use if you're stuck with low table limits.

Think of it this way: if I have a 0.5% advantage at TC=1, Kelly dictates I'd want to bet around 0.5% of my bankroll, which, for a $60k bankroll, is $300.

This is correct only if your prime objective is to reduce variance. But if your BR is large enough so that you're not all that worried about variance, that $200 bet will win the most MONEY in the long run.

is that it is the best game in USA. S17 DD DAS LS. Penetration varies from 75% to 100% depending on dealers. Once I posted the name of the casino, I immediately received multiple private messages asking me to take it down because it is indeed the best game in the nation and the very few knowing the location like to keep it a secret.
