Doubling After Splitting Aces

"If you split a pair of aces, you will receive only one card on each of the hands. However, you may "double down" and receive 1 more card on each ace."

This is the rules, on the website, at one of the casinos I'm going to. Is this a common rule? Ive never heard of doubling after u split aces...

DSA exists in a few Midwestern games. I believe you can split the aces, and then double the bet, but you still get only one card. Not sure though.

isn't splitting doubling your bet? wouldn't doubling after a split be quadropaling (sp?) your bet :D
