I'm fairly new to the game, and am still perfecting my Basic Strategy Play. I've been reading around on different sites like this one and wizardofodds and others, and have gotten the hint that there exists a combination of rules that actually give a BS player favor over the house even without card counting. If anyone knows what this combination is/are or even better what casino's offer them, that'd be great.

Locally theirs only two different games to pick from 6:5 single deck and H17,DOS,DAS,RSA=0, RSP=4.

But I'm planning a trip to Vegas at the end of the month and know I'll have WAY more different games to choose from.

Thanks. This site and you guys have been very helpful. :)

There does exist a set of rules that you can have an advantage with BS, BUT you wont find a game like that!

The best low limit "modern" game I've seen was found at the Plaza up until around the first of this year. It was a double deck game with a house edge of around .19%. It does not exist any longer. They've changed up the rules and also changed the pen on most tables.

Yeah, last year was a tough year for blackjack. The Western got rid of their $1 and $3 tables, then they dumped all but 1 of their SD tables. Arizona Charlies and Silverton raised their minimums to $5 as well. Even the Gold Spike ditched all of their BJ tables (they're just a crummy slot-joint now:cry: ). Ellis Island still has $1 BJ during the day but only at one table.

The good ol' practice spots for low-rollers and silver-surfers are quickly drying up!

I'm really starting to see blackjack in a state of decline. Out East here more and more CSM's are creeping into the tables and 6 deck blackjack is being replaced at a lot of the casinos with 8 decks.
