I haven't been there in a while. Any comments on current conditions, heat, and whatnot?

I've heard they've been going 6:5 on many tables, which is unfortunate. Though their SP21 game has been pretty good over the years.

I also assume that MS is garbage still (poor pen).

Everything in the Fox Tower Casino is 6:5 except for the two $1 tables. The Great Cedar Casino has thirteen 6:5 tables and five 3:2 tables. The Rainmaker Casino has fourteen 6:5 tables and five are 3:2. The Grand Pequot Casino is all 3:2 and is the only casino open for blackjack 24/7. There is one pit of ASMs there and it's the one that is always open. Penetration of at least 7/8 can be fairly easily found. These games are 8 deck H17. No changes in the high limit rooms where there is still heat. Spreads of 1-20 or more can be gotten away with on the main floors.

This was just announced an hour ago. The U.S. Dept of Interior has approved a third Ct. casino. MMCT is the joint venture between Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun and will be located in East Windsor Ct about 20 miles and less than a half hour from MGM Springfield. It will be called Tribal Winds Casino.

Foxwoods doesn't seem to be pushing the 6:5 as much as Mohegan Sun. Anyone wishing to play blackjack Monday to Friday overnight, between 2AM and 10-12 AM, is limited to one choice. That would be in the Pequot Casino at the ASM tables. These are all 3:2 with $10 and $15 minimums.

They are pushing the Stadium games and have added another one in the Fox Tower.

They aren't finished. Foxwoods' crack maintenance staff was busy this morning converting blackjack tables in the Rainmaker Casino back to 3:2. When all is completed there will be no 6:5 blackjack anywhere on this property. Your turn, Mohegan Sun. You too, MGM Springfield.

All blackjack tables have been converted to 3:2. There are no more 6:5 tables at Foxwoods. They still have that one $1 table in the Fox Tower.

Elsewhere in New England, Twin River is feeling the pinch from Wynn and dozens of layoffs are expected while their Tiverton casino is rumored to be contemplating going slots only.
