Getting killed on doubling on 11. Any info on side counting aces?

Between my last 2 BJ sessions, the last 8 hands where I had 11 and doubled, I drew an ace!

I'm using KO. Any thoughts?
 
I had that happen to me a lot today also.

But the idea of keeping an ace side count with KO just seems... wrong.
 
Why do you say that? It takes away from the system's simplicity?

Perhaps it should be an addendum to their Preferred system. Obviously, a bad run is no statistical analysis, but if there is a correlation between the count and a bad pull on an 11, it should be addressed.

You are right, you are more likely to draw an ace on a high count using KO or any other ace-reckoning system. And you chances of drawing a 10 go up by the same amount.

An ace sidecount for DD is almost useless anyway, because you are still going to be doubling on 11 almost all the time anyway. What are you going to do, not double 11 vs. 6 because there are a lot of aces left?

Does an Ace side count efect PE or BC ? KO preferred is very effective for shoe games. Would tracking Aces benefit ? And how would a person use this info ?

If the numbers support not doubling down, I won't double down. Is it any different than sticking on a 16 vs. a dealer 10 if the count says that's what to do? I just wonder if anyone has looked at it or any existing systems deal with it?

I never hit 16v10. With my unit value, and the minimal loss on my EV, its a toss. As well, IF their is any concern of hat, this might help a bit by being consistent with this play.
