Getting the most suited blackjacks

There is a casino near me that is doing a promotion where every suited blackjack gets you an entry into a draw-in tournament that pays pretty well. I am curious if it is more common to catch suited blackjacks on a single, DD, or 6D shoe table if I am just wanting to try to get as many entries as possible?

Well

You get the most blackjacks on single deck and 1 in every 4 blackjacks will be suited. So I will say single deck but it is not by much. One in every 20.85 hands will be a blackjack on single deck and on the shoe it is like one in every 21 hands. So it is about an 82-84 to 1 shot to get a suited blackjack. The quickest way to get suited blackjacks is to cut your bet to the minimum that gets the entry and play two hands.

Thanks for the info, I didn't even think about playing multiple hands to get them as quick as possible. I believe this place has a $3 minumum table on 6 deck shoe, the only problem is that it is an indian casino that requires a 25 cent ante on every hand which is why I don't really ever play there but the payouts for this tournament looked pretty good so I was going to try to get in. It will probably only take about 10 entries to secure a spot in the tournament.

Figure a minimum of 800 hands to get 10 suited BJs.Perhaps 1,000 or more if the cards don't flow right. Thats anywhere from $200 to $250 in antes, just to get a chance to qualify.Thats a hefty entrance fee.

25 cent ante

The house has an edge of over 8% on $3 bets due to the ante. Do you have any special rules like if you get 22 and the dealer gets 23-26 it is a push? If so I'm curious what the maximum bet is and what the ante is on that? 25 cents a hand doesn't seam like a lot but it adds up fast as a dealer I can deal 400 hand an hour on a six deck shoe with 6 players on it so you would play about 66 hands an hour paying $16.50 per spot you played in a hours time.

They ended up giving slips to everyone at the table if the dealer got a suited blackjack and we also found out if you played 3 card poker which I hate, if you got pairs or better on the pairs+ bet, you would get an entry which is 1/4of the time. It ended up costing me about $100 but I had about 60 entries in and got drawn in (36 spots) but ended up being one seat out of the money by ($2.50 in chips) getting beat on the semi table, the people at the final table decided to chop the pot for $750/ea. Paying ante's sucks and I usually won't play anywhere that has them.
