Gila River in Phoenix

Anyone else ever play at either of the Gila Rivers casinos just south of Phoenix? They have two right by Chandler, very close to each other. One small one called Lone Butte and the bigger one is called Wild Horse Pass. Lone Butte only has a few tables, but it's not very crowded at off-times, and you can get $5 like crazy. They have the auto shufflers, not the continuous shufflers, and last time they were cutting about 1.5 decks out. Split up to four, double after split.

I've never walked away down from Lone Butte, I got killed at Wild Horse Pass, but that seems to be the more popular one and it's much bigger.

I normally play WHP, but I played Lone Butte for the first time this weekend. Surprised at how small it was, but overall tables were pretty casual. Lot more TV's there are they're positioned a lot lower than at WHP. Was easy to make it look like I was watching TV and still be able to peak down at the table and count without turning my head. Glad to say I left up.

Overall, I think I still prefer WHP - lot more action, easier to be another face in the crowd when wonging. They're both close to me, though, and it's nice to be able to mix it up now that LB's open. The dealers at WHP started remembering me.

I haven't been to Lone Butte, I drive by it every day on the way to work and I've used all my power to not go there at lunch.

I like WHP the best of all the AZ casinos. I'm a small time player, so the $25 table isn't for me. But I've been there times when the pen is very decent, and the rules are pretty decent. Less CSM's than Casino Arizona.

I'll have to check out LB soon, thanks for the tip on the TVs. How small is it, how many tables?
