Harrahs Players Club

So I logged onto my Harrahs Players Club account webpage today and looked through my offers for fun because usually I get $10 Coupons or room discounts for Casino Windsor where I play.

Anyway, I was looking through all the Casino offers and I have like 5 "2 free night/free show in Reno or Tahoe" offers.

Is this legit? They just give u free rooms and show in hopes u will gamble more than it cost them?

Yup. and incidentally I just recently learned from the wikipedia that Harrah's has special player's club cards for Casino Windsor patrons who are under 21, so they can't be used at US properties.

If you do happen to be under 21, then you should try to sue them. Most +EV move ever.

Some 18 year old with money should sue for discrimination. Casinos are discriminating against adults 18-20 based on their age. Of course you would have to launch some kind of constitutional challenge. It's so rediculous how you can go get your head blown off in Iraq, or ruin your life by getting married at 18 but God forbid if you want to gamble or drink a beer!

Getting married at 18 is just proving how stupid and immature an 18 year old can be and you can't get your head blown off if you're not in the armed forces. There is a hell of a lot more 18 year olds out there doing nothing then there are dying for their country. If you enlist in the service then I agree you should get more privilges. If not then you aren't taking any chance of dying more than the next guy so wait until your mind and age mature. I'm only in my mid 20's and I know at eighteen or 20 I wasn't ready to be responsible about gambling, and drinking was more of a sport of how f'ed up I could get. I'd like to think I handle things a little better as I get older.

If casinos were allowed to let 12 year olds gamble,I'm sure they would. It's that pesky gubbermint that keeps getting in the way.

The point I'm trying to make though is it is irrelevent wheather an 18 yr. old is responsible or not, he is legally considered an adult and can sign contracts for instance, so the government is discriminating against 18-20 yr olds simply based on age. It is not fair for the government to consider all 18-20 yr olds not responsible enough to gamble so if that's the case then they should also consider a certain race not responsible enough to gamble!

Well, i DO happen to be 19 years old, so you're saying I can't use these special offers?

That does seem kind of ridiculous. Why are they offering them to me on-line if I am noticably not 21?

SUE THEM NOW!!! :p

But seriously, gambling age in the US is 21, so I don't see how they'll do you any good.

This is the stupidest thread ever. If you want 18 year olds to be allowed to gamble, call your f*ing congressman or state reps. Harrahs is the most evil of all evil empires, but why on earth would you blame them for enforcing the law? And if you blame the government, fine, but good luck changing the law. No chance in this lifetime.

Well just because I can't gamble doesnt mean I dont want free rooms.

I mean I love to snowboard, so if I am getting 2 nights free in Tahoe, I would certainly love to use them.

Harrahs normal rules are that at least one person in the room must be 21and they must sign for the room. They might honor the offer if you bring a 21 year old with you.
