I love this site! I picked up learning BJ about 4 months ago. I first bought Blackjack Bluebook II but found it too simplistic. I moved onto KO Blackjack and have been practicing that along with BS for the past 3 months or so. I believe I am pretty proficient in KO, but I'm finding it rather unintuitive with the IRC at -20 for 6D games and whatnot. The reason I started with KO is its supposed ease of use without TC conversions.
In the past week I've read BJ for Blood which is well-written but I think AOII will be pretty difficult to learn.
I'm reading Blackbelt in Blackjack right now and I think I'm finally going to settle on Zen with the True Edge calcs. I just need to practice this for several months before any casino trips. I have not once played a BJ hand in a casino. I'm a logical person so I guess that's why I hate gambling and CC appeals to me.
I'll just keep practicing until I feel this becomes second nature.
How long does it take typically to learn Zen? I already have BS down. I practice about 1 hour or more per day. I was initially hesitant with a balanced count because of the TC, but I guess practice makes perfect with anything.
