high count index play 8,8 vs 10

Quick question just looking for some input....

6D, S17, DS, LS, RSA

the basic strategy for this has you surrender a 16 vs. 10. If you have 8,8 it has you split.

Would you surrender or split?

Next question.... I count with TKO(the enhanced KO) and one of the index plays is that when the deck is "warm" you stand on a 16 vs 10.....

If you have a "warm" or "hot" deck and you get an 8,8 vs 10 what would you do? Stand or surrender? I personally surrender this but was wondering what other people would do?

thanks

In general, you split 8s v X and surrender 16 v X. However, at a high enough count, you do surrender 8s v X as well. Run a sim or ask someone to find the pivot point for this play.

bump.

Does anyone have the exact indices for surrendering 88? I can't seem to find them anywhere. Right now I am surrendering 88 vs 9,T,A at positive counts, but I'd really like more precise indices.

I am playing with essentially the same rules (S17 8D DAS LS), and I'm using Hi Lo.

Do NOT surrender 8's vs NINES or ACES

I will hunch a guess here, as I do not use K.O.;

but I suspect surrendering 8,8 vs Ten ought to be a True count of about +1

The HI-LO Table from the M.I.T. training DVD has it as ZERO [and 16 at -1].

Also stand at T.C. +5 if there is no Late Surrender.

I would surrender 7,7 vs. TEN at +2.

the most important thing to know is:

Do NOT surrender 8's vs a NINE or an ACE.

You will not likely ever reach a True Count where it is correct to

surrender 8,8 against a Nine, and against the Ace ? ... fuggedaboutit dude !

On An H17 Game It Is Correct

Of course if you are playing a 6D H17 game the correct play is to surrender 8,8 vs A.

for multideck DAS the TC index is +2.
If you play any NDAS use +1.
If you don't have LS stand at TC+10. <-(not very useful, I know.)

Flash1296 has good advice against the 9s and Aces.

I wouldn't recommend playing 8D. Hope your wonging and have great pen o/w I wouldn't waste my time and MONEY.
