So I didnt make a correct insurance decision on the last round. The discard tray was bigger than normal, which I realized before I sat down. Fact of the matter is I made an incorrect mistake and it's killing me now. I pride myself on playing a perfect game and when i make an incorrect index play at the moment and cant remember the last time this happened, but it did and I guess Im human. The count was around +4 at the time of buying insurance and Im supposed to insure at +3.4 with halves for 6 to 8 deck games. The discard rack confused me at the last second being bigger than normal for a 6 deck game and while trying to adjust for it, I made a mistake, i dont know how, but I did.

Im sure it's insignifcant but it really pissed me off that I made an error and having the dealer swipe both my bets off the table and me knowing I made an error, especially when i was winning almost every hand that shoe. Im guessing the % loss for that round by not insuring was around 2% since it was almost on the borderline for insuring? Ughh. Someone confirm for me please.

Well I would have to give two explanations.

Card clumpng...Which has been known to happen and with six deck shoes..eight deck. That dealer can work some magic and shuffle track. They have a few really good ones where I frequent the most.

So it could have been that or it could have been simple variance...Which if it wasnt a fresh shoee unplayed chances are it was variance.

Variance always trys to even itself out.

Thats one reason I hate shoe games. You cant play all the way through without being skilled at something other than counting and you have a lot more money out a lot faster. The variance of a single deck is managable usually. I play double deck and am dying for a 4 deck game. The variance there is within expectation and can be capitalized upo


But the variance of six deck , 8 deck....Wow...Sometimes the longest losing streaks happen. OMG. Will kill you. That is negative variance at its stongest and most occuring. I like it at its weekest. Double and four deck games...

And what if I told you I made every single bit of that 56.5k profit through 6 and 8 deck games? Another reason why I'm the best. Never even played ONE hand of a pitch game in my career. Damn

You shouldn't be looking at the discards as you are making a decision. If you play enough you really never have to look at the discards except once or twice to confirm your subconscious, in your head tracking of number of cards played is spot on. If you are often looking at the discards, especially when you are making decisions, the casino may take steps to make it harder for you to win. With more experience you won't need to look at the discards and will find when you do get a look you are confirming what you believed to be true to begin with.

Hey zen. I said I play double deck and variance is usually managable for single deck dont mean it isnt. Which it isnt. Double deck is a honey pot. I miss my 4 deck but

Haha. Anyways. Im glad you are the worlds greatest blackjack player. Maybe you would like to confirm that. See if your bankrolls as big as your mouth. I mean if your the best you should have no problem jumping on say a 25k wager on whose better. I would say 250k but you probably dont got that do you
