how to confirm casino no cheating ?

if they dont allow checking cards

how to confirm they dont take out some pic and aces ??

only after u have lost all bankroll then wake u up ?
 
It's not easy if you can't look at the cards. About the only thing you can do is keep track of the ending count of many, many shoes and see if it is normally distributed about 0.
 
At the store where I usually play the players at the table when a new set of cards is coming out have to check the decks to make sure all of the cards are there. I don't know if this is common among casinos, but I don't see why they wouldn't do this in other places as well.

indeed very normal as CP says.

in major cities like LV or AC, i hardly ever look at the cards being changed (heck, im looking for another table to play at while they change the cards). however, i took such a slaughtering over several different sessions at the (AC) Trop's 4Ders when they had it a while back, that i swore they were shorting the shoes (and to be fair, who WOULDNT put it past the Trop??). needless to say when they changed those cards i made sure to count every card. and even more needless to say, i still got slaughtered after that :cry::cry:
 
While losing can warp your perception, it shouldn't get to the point where it warps your thought process. The Trop is and was under state supervision while it offered its 4 deck shoes. You can't seriously think that the State of New Jersey is going to short deck a BJ game, can you?

I think New Jersey is probably the most likely state to give into corruption...well, maybe second only to Illinois :laugh:

Now to be serious. Shadroch is right, casinos don't need to go through the trouble to cheat, they can make enough just by their regular advantage -- it's not worth the risk of getting caught to take a little more money from ploppies on vacation.
 
Stupid, greedy casino bosses

Trust!!!!!!
If people do not trust the game your casino is dealing they will not play it but on many levels casino bosses are extremely stupid and every level they are greedy.
That casino that does not spread the cards is very likely to be dealing a perfectly honest game, but they have a boss who is both stupid and greedy.
The ten minutes that it takes to spread six new decks once every 24 hours is ten minutes that his casino is not making a dime at that table and his greedy nature can not stand that. His stupidity causes him to bring out pre-sorted stacks of 6 decks and the cards are not spread resulting in X number of players suspecting his casino of shorting the decks and causing those players to go to a different casino. The net result is he may actually be losing money by being stupid and greedy but he does not see this and never will.

The casino may be perfectly honest but when a procedure is instuted that makes cheating by anyone easy, human nature and experience dictates that someone, somewhere, will cheat at sometime. Spread the cards and make that form of cheating impossible and more of your customers will trust your game and you will make more money for your casino.

A large list of things both stupid and greedy done by casino managers that cost their casinos money long term can be easily listed or taken from past posts.

no i wasnt serious, BUT if i had to choose a casino in AC to do that type of thing it would have been the trop. :devil:

A couple of years back there was alot of talk about short shoes in the Czech Republic and perhaps other Eastern European casinos.
Several California Indian casinos were accused of short shoes but I can not confirm that this happened or that any action was or COULD be taken against them. It is like, who do you call....the tribal gaming commission???
I have not heard anything like this though for several years.

I've heard from several sources that one of the two Conn. casinos was caught shorting the deck but it could well be an urban rumour thats entered legend.

No but I think some idiot shift manager might try it and think he could get away with it. The restaurants are under state supervision too, but that doesn't mean you can rule out the possibility of getting some bad food at one, especially when you are shitting your guts out after eating at a buffet.

I agree that we can't obsess with the possibility of being cheated in NJ, just like we can't avoid all restaurants but we can take minimal precautions against blatant offenses.

You know the difference between "Satisfactory" and "Conditionally Satisfactory" on NJ restaurant inspection certificates, don't you? If they find a dead rat in the kitchen you get "Satisfactory." If the rat is alive, they give you "Conditionally Satisfactory" and upgrade it to "Satisfactory" when the rat dies.

I am studying a case likes that.
Some observations make me to decide to continue to study it, would spend some time to collect more data…to convince myself to believe that the casino is honest or not.
Any method or advice are welcome.
 
Most cheating that I have run into has been in small casinos in countries other than the US. Usually it is done very poorly and you will see that the count is always over +20 when the cut card comes out.

In Prague you have to beware of dealers that push you when you win, or take your money when you push.

I recently went to Prague and played for a few hours. I love how classy the joints feel there compared to American places. Anyways, I had the dealer show the cards and they were all there, the dealers were very fast and efficient as well.

Well I think shorting the deck would make the casino illegitimate :laugh: I know of one case of a casino in the United States shorting blackjack decks and it wasn't that long ago, maybe 3-4 years.. It was a very small casino, though. They are no longer allowed to have any table games in their casino.
