I am against all basic strategies?

#1
Hi. I have read beat the dealer and learned the KO counting cards strategy. In both books and the majority of tables of basic strategy I have seen, says to hit when the dealer has a 10 and I have a 16 or 15.

I have been playing in some casinos and I ask myself sometimes: "the 6 or 5 that I need, affects the dealer because he will have to hit again and he will probably bust". I am in a big dilema.

However, some people always surrender in this hand.

Can anyone tell me their point of view?

Thank you.

There's no "point of view"; this question is not a matter of opinion. The correct play is to surrender a 16v10 always, and 15v10 in a positive count (otherwise hit). These are losing hands, and you're better off retaining half of your bet than losing it all.

(Think about this: It's a lot more likely that the next card is a 10 than a 5 or 6, and you lose whether you or the dealer gets it.)

my point of view is that what to do for 16vs10 is a razor thin mostly hopeless decision, and almost as bad for 15vs10.
so just do what basic strategy, the i18 & fab four says and then fougetabout it, lol.
that way over the long haul you'll lose plenty but not as much as you'd lose if you didn't go that route.:whip:
