Hey everyone,
I’m a winning 1–20+ Hi-Lo player. As you can imagine, my time’s often limited, but sometimes I’m allowed to play. At times, though, I have to stick to a 1–10 spread because of non-player card rules.
I took the counting quiz on QFIT, and it recommended switching to the Revere Point Count (RPC) system. Another high-stakes counter suggested CAC2 instead. Any Hi-Lo players here who’ve made the jump to either one and can share what they liked or didn’t?
Why?
Right now I’m using about 40–50 deviations. I know a lot of the negative counts don’t matter much with my kind of spread, and I’m well aware that my level of aggression doesn’t exactly impress in Blackjack Attack. But that’s just the reality these days—NMSE for the winning conditions—and even with a “polite” 1–8 or 1–10 spread, you still get backed off. And honestly, sometimes they’re really rude about it, as if they get a thrill from telling me I can’t play table games anymore.
So here I am. I realize we’re not welcome either way, so it’s time—I’m stepping into my blackjack gladiator phase in the name of justice. I’ve got the bankroll for a 1–60 spread, but want to make sure I’m mining those purple racks efficiently. Before going all in on this quest, I want to level up my counting system and extract every last bit of EV I can.
I already know the RPC tags but don’t have a solid deviation chart or betting ramp for it—though I do have a full pedagogy for CAC2. When I have enough chip inventory I will max bet at T4.
Appreciate any insight or experience you’re willing to share. Thanks, everyone.
