How did the shoe end?
Not familar with Kiss III, but I have seen some remarkably high counts but the only ones that give me something to really think about would be if the count never seriously began going down.

I have been using the KISS III count for about 2 years have never seen a count of over 32 with a six deck shoe with 1 1/2 decks cutoff.

40 is cool to hit
I used to use kiss III it is perfectly normal to hut 40 in a 8 deck shoe. I myself have hit 40 plenty of times when i used it.I have found that at those high high counts you start to push and lose alot. I used to lower my bets slightly at these counts i know its not the proper thing to do but the kiss isnt that accurate so it worked for me alot of times i would have got my ass handed to me had i not lowerd my bets in these huge counts. I would certainly not recomend doing what i did play the way you are supposed to, just thought i would share with you. To be honet your best bet it to go to a balanced count its a bit harder at first but i promise you well worth it. I used to swear by unbalanced and for almost 2 years used the kiss. Only find out by switching to a balanaced that i am crushing the tables and bringing in way more cash on average.

A running count of "40" with KISS III is about equal to a Hi/Lo true count of +7 in the middle of an 8 deck shoe. It's pretty rare, but it does get there from time to time.

ZEN right now but for a while to make the transistion easy i rocked out with the hi-lo. I know the numbers have the two counts about even
(kissIII & hi-lo) but no comparison at all. HI-LO hands down all day.
