Ideal game?

i have been very curious about this for some time since reading through most of the threads here.
what would be the ideal game of blackjack you could hope to find in the real world?
if you could backcount without heat, at what point would you jump in with your minimum unit?

As far as regular BJ goes, one of the BEST is a 2D game, 75% pene w/ s17, DAS, RSA.

For starters. The key is that often times deep pene is the most important feature (if you are counting).

If you are just basicStr, S17, DAS, RSA, SUR are the most ideal rule-set. zg

What Counting system are you using Counter-fit and what is the game?

With KO, that would be when you reach the Key Count which for double deck is +1. With 6-deck, it's -4. Single deck, it's +2. No matter what the deck size for KO, the pivot point is +4 (the point at which you should have the max bet out.)

With all that stated, you do have a advantage when the Key Count is reached but your best chances are at the Pivot Point with a max bet!

i use the simple balanced count of hi-lo (i think that is what it is called). i am hoping to get into a 2 deck game in the mississippi casinos. wife and i are planning on team play. she has a good handle on bs, but does not count.

That will depend on your bankroll and bet ramp. You will probably want her to join you whenever you have the advantage, so a +2 or above is safe (possibly +1 depending on the rules). However, adding another player at the same table will also increase your SD more than having them play at a different table. You will have to take that into consideration when you make your team plan. It may increase your ROR to an unacceptable level.

Typically you would have a max bet out at around +5 or +6, but that may change based on your team plan. You may have her join you only at higher counts and make bigger bets, or she might be with you all the time if you each play at half-stakes. That will help to reduce your SD somewhat, but it is still not as optimal as playing at different tables.

If you use the BP approach then she will be making all of the big bets. Her arrival will be based on when the advantage becomes strong enough to justify her bet size.

i hope to have her come in on high counts, and make large bets as i bet table minimums.

does anyone have a suggestion as to where in the casino this sort of teamwork would last longer before heat?
would you recommend the floor, or a higher limit area ($25 minimum)? higher limit area is obviously not as crowded during peak times.

That depends on how big your large bets are going to be. A player wandering around betting black chips may not get any attention at all in some casinos. Someone betting a single green chip may get heat in others. It all depends on the casino and the staff.

Casino personnel are very familiar with the BP approach so it is very difficult to pull off. Also, your wife may not want to be standing around doing nothing 70-80% of the time while you’re counting. Those are just a few drawbacks of that approach.

The best way to avoid heat is to play when the casino is very crowded. The pit will not have a chance to watch you or keep track of your play. Just try to keep your sessions short because it will begin to look obvious pretty quickly if they start watching you.

Tunica Play

Most casino's I play in Tunica will not allow mid shoe entry, the Grand allowed it on six deck shoe but limited my bet to the table minimum, this makes backcounting impossible. However you will find the rules and games very good. The Horseshoe casino adjoins the Goldstrike on one side, and the Sheraton on the other side giving you three casinos in walking distance. I played single deck, and double deck at 5.00 minimums at the Sheraton in early March.
