If all betting systems are worthless...

If all betting systems (martingale, progressive etc) are worthless in games with a house edge, then is there a better system than the other in games with a player advantage (card counting blackjack, full pay video poker machines etc) apart from kelly betting?

any thoughts?

If playing with an advantage
In theory nothing beats kelly (continuos resizing) for log growth of bank.
However:joker::whip:
In the real world it's probably better to bet less.
Quite a bit less, perhaps .5kelly or less.

As far as I'm concerned, Kelly is King.

Although would stick with half-kelly if the bankroll is not replenishable anytime soon. However, if it is, bet as aggressive as you want! :devil::laugh:

Should be less then Kelly:joker::whip:
Because
If you compare betting .8Kelly with 1.2Kelly they both have the same growth rate while the latter has a much higher variance.:joker::whip:
and
You are not certain of your advantage.
and
You can only cut bets so far on losses, you have a table minimum floor.:joker::whip:
