Is Blackjack Bluebook II good enough?

I bought my first BJ book a couple days ago... Blackjack Bluebook II. Some of you think that Knockout BJ and Blackbelt in Blackjack are better to start out with. Do you think I will OK with the one I got? Should I scrap it and start with one of the other ones?

Bluebook is OK - you read most of the valid count books if you're serious. zg

Disclaimer: I haven't read BJBBII.

But I have seen many extremely favorable comments about that book, and no negative ones. I have read all of Renzey's articles over at casinocitytimes.com, and I can say the man definitely knows what he's talking about.

Blackjack Bluebook II is more than OK. It is a GREAT book. I have read it and reread it several times. He writes in a way that is easy to read and understand. After reading it, you'll not only know what to do, but WHY to do it.

He does a SUPER job in dispelling many myths and explaining Basic Strategy. Then there's a section too that covers beyond Basic Strategy, but before you get to counting methods. Then, he covers counting.

He writes many articles that can be found online also.

I don't think you'll be disappointed.

I agree those 2 are a must for someone just starting out. Blackbelt also goes into more detail about several aspects of the game.

This is an excellent book to start out with. I have read many books on blackjack but this book is the one I reread the most.Start here and then continue to read more.
