Is counting with this rules even possible?

Hello!

At my local casino they have the following blackjack rules:
- 6 decks are used (no shuffle machines ofc)
- when splitting aces, you just get one card to each ace. you cant take any more cards. if you get a picture to your ace, it just counts as 21, not blackjack.
- you can only double up, if you have a 9, 10 or 11 (this is the rule i am concerned about most)

I would like to know if those rules make it impossible to play profitable even with a good count.

You can double 9, 10 and 11 also on a split.

If the deck is cut 2 packs in I would hunt around for a better game to be honest, you would have to use a massive bet spread to get any decent advantage out of that.

I would more like to know, if its still possible to gain advantage and what my count has to be, to get what advantage. Does someone has a program ready to simulate that with my given data?

It means if the dealer Hits or Stands on a soft 17. It's the best if he stands .

The rules are identical to the old style UK rules which is a house edge of -0.55% so i wouldnt raise your bet until the true count is +2. Reason for this being that at TC +1 the house will still have a slight edge unless you can find better rules like double down on any first two cards.

So long as no CSM's are used, counting is always possible and potentially profitable. It's just the effort required to count, the bankroll required, and the earnings per hour that differ.

For example, you can even count a 6:5 game - the only problem is that you'll need to wait until the true count is +5 before you have even a small advantage. You'll need to spread 1:1000 or something to beat that game, and 99% of your time will be counting at a disadvantage. It's technically beatable, but just not worth the effort given all the better games to count.

I also was watching the blackjack games. Some dealers cut away just 1/6 of the decks. But its always less than 1/3! Most of the time its about 1/4 average.

How much do my spreads have to be if I dont wong that game?

Its beatable with 1 to 8 spread if you want to get any decent profit from it then i would use a bigger one. I use 1 to 12 units for a shoe game, if there are boxes free ill spread to two hands of 9 units so (18 units) at True count of +4.

no not play all.. some dealers still use a 65% - 70% pen... but i also saw dealers which easily had a 80% pen... Most of the time you see 1-2 cards which are behind the cutcard, because the dealers dont seem to care that much, so you can start to count before the first game happens and thereby cancel the purpose of the two burn cards

- Dealer stands on every 17 (soft and hard) and draws to every 16
- Surrender ist not allowed
- You cant hit on split Aces

These are your typical rules.

Provided BJ pays 3/2 and you can split up to x4, Im getting a -.42 player disadvantage w/cvbj.(somebody feel free to verify this also)
