Is online gambling illegal in the USA?

is it 100% illegal? because i know of sites that will let u play even if u live in the usa.. what if the site is located in another country, and u are located in the usa, and there is nothing on their site saying that the usa cant play.. btw if it makes a dif i live in illinois

no it's not illegal the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act doesn't make it illegal to play at online casinos it just makes it difficult for online casinos to process your deposits / withdrawls.

This is why many of them have just decided to stop accepting USA players all together.
