is this book too old to play from?

hello, I wanted to ask is blackjack for blood a book that's too dated to learn from to count cards. I mean the Advanced Omega II system, is it still effective to play in a casino game with double-deck games? If not what system is good for a DD, Hs16, double only on 10-11. that and 4D Hs16, DAS, Double on any two cards are the kind of games available in the casinos near me.

The system will be great for DD games. I can't remember for sure, but I think you might want to be a little leery of the betting. I think it lists some fairly low bankroll requirements which may not hold up. I could be wrong on that, but I'm not near the book.

I'll have to take a look at the book again to tell you for sure. I think it just listed some low requirements for bankroll. Just make sure to have 1000 units basically, and you'll be good. I'll see if I can dig out the book and confirm with you later when I get home.

Sorry, almost forget to get back on this. Looks like it wasn't the bankroll requirements I thought were low, it was the small spreads that I've found scanning through the book. I'm not seeing anything larger than a 1-8 (I admit I haven't reread the whole thing again.) Generally if you can you want to use larger spreads to make more money.

Also want to note that if you're planning on playing multiple deck games Zen may be a better choice for you, although AOII is a great count. The side count on multiple deck can be tricky. If you're playing double or single stick to this count.

Just recommendations. You can play with whatever you are comfortable with. You can even use Zen for all games as a nice compromise. It's all entirely up to you.
