Is This Spread Table Correct?

Hello,

I couldn't find a comprehensive spread table on the forum so I thought I'd make one and ask you all if--generaly speaking--I had it right. (Assume non-Wonging):


2 Decks:

Spread 1:6

6 Decks:

Spread 1:12

8 Decks:

Spread 1:16


Red Chips:

No cover needed under crowded conditions; cover required during slow periods.

Green Chips:

Cover required.

Black Chips:

Maximum cover required.

The answer for every one is: it depends. 1-8 may be ideal for double deck, 1-16 is better for 6 decks, and 1-20 is better for 8.

And, I don't recommend cover for anything below black. But you may need it at red. And you may not need it at purple. All depends on the casino.

More important than the bet spread is the bet ramp.

For example, a 1:16 spread can look like this:
+4 and below: 1
+5 and above: 16

Or this:
+1 and below: 1
+2: 2
+3: 4
+4: 8
+5 and above: 16

The EV, variance, and heat that you will get is vastly different for the two ramps, even though they are both "1:16" spreads.
